When is a Compliance Opinion Necessary?
If your product is already in national territory, after customs clearance and before its commercialization, and could not comply with the commercial information of the NOM from its origin, you can opt for the NOM Compliance Opinion service. This opinion allows your products to be destined for a private address as long as the following requirements are met:
- Permanence in the Importers Registry: The importer must have at least 2 years of permanence in the importers registry.
- Import volume: Must demonstrate a minute of $100,000.00 dollars (USD) or its equivalent in national currency in imported products during the last twelve months.
